Unconditional payment


Where there is dispute over the amount due by the insurance company to its policyholder under a valid claim, the insurance company, in order to fulfill its obligation to pay any claim due to its policyholder within 60 days after receipt of satisfactory proofs of loss, must make an unconditional payment of the minimum amount over which reasonable minds could not differ, while the remaining disputed portion of the claim is resolved:
