Proof of Loss Rejection

Because the policyholder did not support the Proof of Loss with an inventory or estimate does not justify the insurance company's rejection of the Proof of Loss. Substantial compliance is the test to determine if the policyholder complied with the Proof of Loss requirements:
Brookins v. State Farm Fire & Cas. Co., 529 F. Supp. 386 S.D.Ga., 1982.
