The Cat In Your Hat

holding your own

Those who hold high places left you holding a near-empty toolbox ...
or as luck would have it!

by Antone P. Braga

What you want
Let me draw you a map
No problem, you see
It is this way and that

Oh I forgot to mention Other
But It doesn't amount to much
You have it on good word
It's just a little such and such

You're In My Hands Good Neighbor
But don't worry, I'm on your side
You see I am not so bad
I only want to help
Give me your trust No need to think

Well if you must
Think of me the way
I advertise as your benefactor
I bring you sport events
For your pleasure Out of Your Pocket

Never mind you pay for my point of view
You don't need representation
I represent you Well sort of
The law says I'm the other side
Don't believe it What does the law know

I have my own idea
No need for factual reference
I pave the road with ease
Status quo is mine
I tell it as I please

Are you well asleep
Ah, Good
You now have peace of mind
No matter it hypnotic trance
Leave it to me
I'll lead the dance

Now for the first order of business
We need to take away your say in claims
No need for your authority
You wouldn't know what to do with it anyway

You want to tell Me
What to bring
How could You
Do such a thing

You mean you want to know more
You want to figure out things for yourself
But don't have the know how
Well, you can look if you must
But you will find it rare as hens' teeth

And why would you ever want to challenge me
Your good friend and neighbor whom you trust
Go back to sleep now
There, there...why make a fuss

Under breath pure heresy
The nerve of these hosts to doubt their guest
So little they know
I am King
What I say goes

Help on the way: this content is local to your area in that it affects virtually everyone in your area, indirectly or directly: property insurance policyholders. When the next news stories run having to do with a local disaster such as a hurricane, earthquake, flood, tornado, fire, etc., perhaps think of those disaster survivors and to what extent you may have helped in their preparedness and recovery. Thank you for any help you give.

What is your philosophy: drive or be driven? I happen to think we are wise to keep our drive alive.
