Hi there, you don't say what state you are in, BUT, usually, at least in Florida where I have an agency, the term "medical reasons" is very common.

Of course the reason you were denied insurance seems obviuos. You say your wife was pregnant and the law says YOU are responsible for her and your unborn, not a NEW policy. It surprises me that KNOWING your wife was pregnant already, an agent took the application. Did they know?

You should NEVER change insurance plans while you have a pregnant spouse, as NO ONE will insure you until the moment AFTER the baby is born.

If you want to have a great health savings plan that will give you VERY NICE discounts on what YOU have to pay now, you can go to this website and get it through signing up on line.

It's a super plan and the $54.95 plan will include doctors and hospitals as well as just about any other thing related to health care. I have seen $10,000 hospital bills drastically drop to $1,200. (that is just an example)

It is through a large national network with over 400,000 doctors, thousands of hospitals, etc. The company is debt-free and on the stock exchange (nasdaq) and listed as PCIS if you want to check it out. The service is called Care Entree and the company is Precis. I have it myself. I know the phone number has recently been changed so the toll free on the site is not on and they have not put the new number up but you can learn alot by reading the good info on the site.

They take ALL PRE EXISTING conditions, including pregnancy. It's not insurance but trust me, with a pregnant wife, you will not get ANY coverage EVER til AFTER the baby is born. This is just about your only way out, unless you go on state aid.

You can confirm this service more if desired by sending me an email. You can get it all over the country and are eligible for nice discounts. They have 5 plans from $9.95 - $54.95 with differences being in the types of services in each plan, but the $54.95 plan will work for you.

Good Luck...
