Your monthly medical insurance payment of $825 is out of this world and it looks like your option is to go begging for the right to pay it for awhile longer. If you find any other option please let us know:

Since the husband is a dependent, check to see if he is entitled to
extend the 18 months to 36 months which COBRA allows under some
circumstances. The letter notifying of the right to a COBRA extension
should have covered this subject, or call the local or regional office
in the area of the worker, of the Department of Labor's Pension and
Welfare Benefits Administration.
