: I have had insulin-dependant diabetes since I was 12. At 25 COBRA ran out. Now at 28,(No health insurance since 25)I feel overwhelmed with social and financial dead-ends when it comes to affordable health insurance in case of injury or sickness.
: Paying out of pocket for insulin supplies and perscriptions is difficult, but not the end of the world. But when I get sick or injured- I feel that will be the end of me!
: Can anyone point me in the right direction? I am fairly unschooled when it comes to these insurance matters.

Many states, such as Missouri, have last-resort health plan that is usually expensive, for people who cannot get coverage elsewhere. I would recommend the writer call the Division of Insurance in her state and enquire. Most departments of insurance have a consumer line that is usually equipped to answer the question and provide the limitations and requirments for coverage. Good luck.
