It will depend on which state you are talking about, and yes, a lapse in coverage
will cause you to go through the companies reinstatement process.

This may involve submitting another applcation, paying back premiums, etc.

Is a lapse in coverage still considered as a cancelation? If so when mailed a letter for a lapse in coverage is it a state law that it becomes effective after the 10th day of the notice?
