: My question concerns the right to challenge progressive for ommissions and misrepresentation on auto insurance policy. My policy was cancelled without proper notification. Insurer intentionally sent cancellation notice to old address, with new address on file. Contract was entered on the basis of a non owners policy. No information regarding proof of prior insurance was requested from agent. Approximately 1 month before last premium payment was due which was in November. I received a letter at the new address on file asking for an additional amount of approximately 130.00 due to no prior insurance. I sent by fax copy proof of insurance for last 6 months on owner of vehicle. This proof was then acceptable. It was faxed to them twice. Thereafter I paid the last premuim due in November 1999. I found out in August of 2000 that my policy was cancelled for nonpayment of additional amount of 130.00 due to no prior insurance. They sent the cancellation notice to my old address. The policy was cancelled in June of 2000. I purchased this policy in August of 1999. Can anyone advise me if this would be part of any lawsuit against progressive insurance as a class action....
