My SO (soon to be wife) has coverage under her company's group plan. The company may fold. I do not have coverage that could include her. There appears to be no protection for employees transitioning to an individual plan when the company folds, either in state or federal laws.
She is 15 weeks pregnant, which would be a pre-existing condition under most plans. Are we in as bad a situation as I think we are? I've spent a few hours researching this and it doesn't look good.
