My brand new Infiniti I30 sustained an estimated $8,500 in damages last week due to a flood. Many individuals have told me cars are never the same after incurring water damage and I will have continuing problems. My insurance wants to repair it rather than "total" it. Does any one have any experience with flood damaged cars, or any suggestions as to how to convince the insurance company to replace my car?

: First, try to find a professional source that agrees with your opinion of total loss...perhaps the automobile dealer. Armed with that written opinion you may want to file a formal insurance claim. If you visit How to Get What You Deserveyou will find all you need to file and adjust your claim.

Best of luck!
