Unless Allstate can point to specific language in your policy that limits the coverage for the stereo, and it was permanently installed in the vehicle, you would have coverage for the stereo under your automobile policy. If the stereo is indeed installed in the automobile, the homeowners policy would exclude automobile (including its attached equipment).
