ALLSTATE TO CLOSE SUPPORT CENTER
(JACKSON) -- Twelve hundred employees of Allstate Insurance are losing their
jobs. The nation's second largest insurance company announced yesterday it's
shutting down the Sunbelt support center in Jackson. The center is one of
four Allstate offices closing nationwide. Company officials say the lay-offs
are necessary to help the company cut 600-Million dollars in expenses.
