Looks like this forum is a bit slanted in favor of those who didn't get paid in the manner that they felt they should have been paid.

Each state has a Department of Insurance who's sole purpose is to protect the consumer against what they perceive as poor treatment on the part of their insurance carrier. If you have a complaint file it with the DOI, and let them take it from there.

What I don't see on this board is the number of false claims file against insurance carriers that carriers pay for fear of bad faith due to some slick attorney's manuvering. There are also situations that merit denial of a claim due to lack of coverage or poor coverage that an agent sold to his client. The client in an effort to obtain the cheapest cost for insurance, expects the coverage to provide them with coverage for all situations. This does not happen, so you need to read your contract, and recognize that cheap may not always be the best, and there is no contract that covers all situations.

You buy a Honda, don't expect the comfort of a Rolls. Face it, you didn't pay for it.
